Title: Modding Questions
Post by: blakey876 on 22 August 2010, 17:41:48
Hi,

I finally made the decision to get an omega. Just a few questions.

1. How can I make the car sound louder without buying mods.

2. Were can I find a sports exhaust for it???

by the way the car i'm getting is a 98 2.5 v6 with 53000 reflection.

Thanks

P.S really excited about getting my car I pick it up tomorrow  Cheesy

one of those air filters (k&n), make it growl when you put your foot down, but you will lose BHP unless you have a cold air feed.

The 2.5 and 3.0 are similar 0-60

Sadly not the best adxice dor an Omega as fitting the K&N filters interferes with the MAF sensor over time.

No1 could be achieved by fitting no2

Plently of stainless system on over, genarally the supplier will give advice regards the sound as this will be tuned by size of pipe, rear box/outlet pipe(s)

Enjoy the car for a while when you get it and make sure the servicing is upto date and the breathers are clean etc etc.

K&N's are oil wet and the oil, if drawn into the maf gubbins, can and does cause problems.

Standard air filter works well, but does not provide the 'growl' that perhaps the OP was looking for...  ;)
