Title: Misfire & rotten egg wif

Started the car this morning, while idling it suddenly developed a misfire & got the rotten egg smell, put my Opel scanner on it & no fault codes or anything else came up, dont know if they are related
anyone have any ideas ?

Rotten egg smells are usually caused by a dead/poisoned/inefficient CAT - which could easily be caused by the misfire if it's dumping unburnt fuel onto the CAT..

Which makes me think it's likely a misfire due to a lack of spark, rather than a lack of fuel..

Agreed, check the plug end of the leads and plug wells for oil/water/splits.

checked plugs, no oil in the wells, HT leads seem all OK fitted new leads & plugs about 12 months ago, seems misfire is on one cylinder only so could dispack be suspect ?

Oh Dear! :-/
One thing is about certain and that is that the cat is well and truly bollixed due to it ingesting unburnt fuel caused by the misfire. (or leaded fuel being put in somehow by accident)
Check all of the plugs, best change them all and then while you are onto it check all the HT leads too.
Its ba sod of a job but I did it and it cured all my ills.

The dispack is made up of three double-ended coils so a faulty coil knocks out two cylinders.
Can you check the leads with a multimeter? resistance should be around 2k for the short one to 5k-ish for the longest.
