Title: Confused
Post by: SIMV6ON on 29 August 2010, 08:39:15
hi again guys. as you will notice im a newbie to the whole vauxhall thing as i was an avid rover fan for the best part of 13 years. im trying to learn as much as i can about these cars now and try and fathom out things as i go along.

my question today is this, what does the MV6 have over all the other cars, is it trim level or is there some kind of engine variant?

cheers, simon

Hi Simon, and welcome.

The MV6 was conceived as a "performance on a budget" Omega. They had the highest powered engines (3.0/3.2) but lacked a lot of the toys of an Elite to keep the costs down. They also had a sports suspension package which makes the handling much more crisp and sports seats which provide much better support.

You can get 2.5 and 2.6 versions of the Mv6.

2.6 Yes, but 2.5 was never fitted...

Definitely a trim level. European Opel didn't use Elite as their top trim and used MV6 instead.  :-?

May be the 2.5 Mv6 was only available in Europe?
