hello i have an omega 22 petrol auto 51 plate i came home the other day stopped the car ,got back in it 2 days later and it woudn,t start ,it would tick over but not fire up,i then noticed the car with a spanner on it flashing car wont start any ideas

IIRC the flashing car/spanner is something to do with the imobiliser :-/

Where are you .... you may be near someone with a code reader willing to help :y
-
As said, flashing e.m.l. signifies that the immobilizer has not been disengaged, have you had your key apart recently?
-
Sounds like your key needs re-programming.
Where abouts are you?

Did the 'horseshoe section of the key (with the key blade) pull away from the fob when you removed it from the ignition the last time it was running OK? If so, the immobiliser transponder chip has probably fallen out! Remove the said section again & check that the chip is/isn't there. If it isn't, you need to search the interior/exterior of the car very systematically as the chip is very small :-/l
