Title: elec window switch facelift

one of the window switches on the drivers door of my facelift miggy have broke off ive sourced a replacement unit but do i have to remove door card to fit it or does it just pop out ??

You can pop it out just be careful and don't pull it on the switches itself cause they could break.
Look on the replacement unit (notice where the metal parts are on the edges) and put a blunt knife or something to pry it out.
