Title: KYB spring part number
Post by: VXL V6 on 10 September 2010, 17:36:10
Hello

Anyone know which KYB part number spring I should have for a 2.2DTi 2001 CD Estate? It has standard Estate suspension.

Is it RJ6228 or RJ6213?

Thanks in advance.  :y

Listed numbers are RJ6226 and RJ6213 being heavy duty according to on line catalogue, both for 2.2dti estate. :-/

Now you know my confusion  ::)

6226 is for Saloon 6228 for estate.

Think i'll just go for standard ones otherwise i'll have to put heavy duty shocks on as well...

2008-2 UK Catalogue from KYB site - RJ6228 Listed for VAUXHALL 2.2DTi estate, RJ6226 listed for saloon

2009 European Catalogue from KYB site - OPEL 2.2DTi estate listed as RJ6226 or RX5416

KYB Online says RX5416

Oh dear  ;D

When sourcing kyb springs for self levelling, which I can't see at all on the PDF, my local factors had to ring up to confirm, maybe ask sutton auto factors to do the same...?

But yes, clear as mud  ;D

Fitted lowered sports chassis to mine with self levelling, tech 2 would not recalibrate the system to the new hight for some reason, but it seems happy enough.

Believe Lazydocker has fitted stock springs to his Elite with sl, been like that for a couple of years I think he said.

I ordered mine throught Buypartsby which translated into "Autospares (Sutton) Ltd" who confirmed by email that the RJ6227's were the ones for the Elite Saloon with self levelling.

If that helps.

The look to be the correct parts, but have yet to fit them.
