Title: EML help required
Post by: kingycos2 on 27 September 2010, 10:52:15
After 2 years trouble free motoring the EML came on over the weekend, just had it on tech 2 this morning. Requires a lamba sensor on bank 1. The guy doing the diagnostics was making out its the worst job in the world and will be costly. I've never used the garage before, so was just wondering what kind of price to be paying including fitting? Cheers  :y  :y  :y

Would help if you put some car info in your profile. ;)
If you have a the 2.6 or 3.2 engine, chances are the cats are fine and you probably won't need new sensors. It's quite a common fault on these engines and there have been quite a few previous threads about it. If this is the case, the only real solution is to have the sensors moved past the main cats rather than their current location behind the pre-cats.

Its a 2002 3.2 elite. Yeh I've heard someone mention about moving the sensors. Is this an easy job?
