Title: code 31 ?

hi have read up some but need clarification, hotel21 read codes for me and 19 came up he cleared codes and we read as imminent crankshaft sensor failure ,intermittent fault.
today was getting wee bits and pieces done and had opportunity to get car read again and it came up with code 31 can you tell me if car has to be running ? thanks

if i remember right, code 31 is no engine rpm. :y

thanks for reply can you tell me is this normal for car not running ? or is this a sign to change crankshaft sensor ? thanks

its just telling you the engine isnt running, crank sensor is 19. ;)
