Count me in, voted 16th, but either date is OK for me, ermm, any overnight stay facilities nearby (no kids this time :y), and what are other folks plans e.g., drive back, stay overnight?

How often do these events come round?  I'm not sure about the dates at the moment and really its a bit premature for my cambelt.

I'm sure it will be a good crack though.. :) :y

For some unknown, unexplained, bizarre, stupid reason, always seems to be February.  So annually.

Lets be careful here now, best to search this one out ourselves, or we might end up at the Crown in Telford ;D

If anyone needs to work out mileage etc etc to see if the distance is viable the address is

Unit 20A
Lambledge Lane Industrial Estate
Shifnal
TF11 8SD

The Estate is 1/2 mile outside Shifnal Town Centre. Plenty of places to stay and plenty of Ale Houses if required  ::)

Have voted 16th although it looks like both dates would be OK for me.
Would also be up for staying over somewhere for a beer or two [smiley=beer.gif]

I guess this is Timbuk's new place. If so, and if it didn't traumatise TB, could I bring my caravan for an overnight stay?
I could offer one person a bed for the night, provided they don't snore, don't fart and are definitely heterosexual. (These conditions would not apply to a female person).
I would be there to help and annoy.

I can try and get someone else to cover my shift on the 23rd but there's no way I can be sure.

Given that the only remote possibility for me is the 23rd, I'll vote for that one.

You're all welcome to borrow my locking kit / low down torquewrench etc if I can't make it.

If it's under 50 quid for a decent room, and there will be grilling and other amenities (happy to help out), then we'd be game to stay over.  Otherwise it's me on my lonesome and driving home that evening.

23rd is better for me.....the wife has me booked in during half term to re-tile the kitchen and fit new worktops so the 16th might well be a no go.

And I WILL be staying over....no way I am driving home after 10 hours+ under a bonnet again!

I need an EGR and an HID motor, but if I'm gonna splash out then I wanna get rid of the headache-inducing drone from the back!

More thinking of taking advantage of someone's TC than worrying about installing it.  I really don't need to spend the dosh on it right now though, got that Xbox to buy . . .

i'll definately be there, just got to get the cambelt kit now.

if any one needs directions off junction 4, m54 then i'll be happy to meet them at the services on that junction and follow me to timbuks unit.

it is really easy to find though, only about 2 miles from the motorway.

Whilst I don't need anything doing in particular, although a look over with a tech 2 and a gearbox upgrade would be a good idea if available, I would be happy to come along and lend a hand.  The 23rd looks OK for me at present.  If help is needed, let me know.

It looks like we will have several loafers, including myself, but the more the merrier!

Just as long as we don't start a footie game with kids . . .

I'm definately up for the 23rd.  The 16th is the day after my birthday so I'd probably be in no fit state to drive.

My 3.2 MV6 is due for a cambelt change.

I'll bring a new spare key also for programming if there's a Tech2 available.

Looking foward to putting a few faces to names.   :y

I've just Googled the address. what are all those big green & brown rectangle-ish things everywhere? ::) We don't have them where I live. :'(  :y  :y  :y
I don't know what I'm working next week let alone in Feb  :-? so haven't a clue if I can make it. My cam belt isn't due for changeing though for another ...... ages off ... I think  :-/

;D ;D i've done a lot of that in shifnal.

The breakers is about the size of a shoebox and rarely has omega stuff, fortunately the host of the cambelt party is breaking a few so if anything is required we should be ok.

All the pubs are close together in Shifnal and there are plenty of places to eat :)

where there's a will, there's a way :y

i could do with changing my engine oil aswell as doing the belt, it's been 4K since the oil was done and nearly exactly 40k since the belt was changed.

Wouldn't have thought so...as long as we don't distract the expert cambelt changers too much.

Thats the key.  If owners are happy to plod on and do other jobs, then thats not an issue, as long as it doesn't excessively involve the 'experts' who (if past experience is anything to go by) will be mega busy (and knackered by the end) all day.
