Can anyone tell me where the above is - i'm having trouble finding it

Not sure what you mean by 'EGR Valve Pipe'?
The EGR on a 2.2 lives at the rear of the engine block on the passenger side of the car :y

Thanks, thats where i was looking but i thought there was a rubber pipe connected to the egr. Reason being was i have a loud clattering sometimes on start up and i read elsewhere that this could be caused by a split egr valve pipe.
I could not find a rubber pipe connected to the egr valve - it just seemed like a metal chamber.

The turbo diesel has a rubber pipe on the EGR valve. You may have been confused when you read it. ;) I know I often am. ;D ;D

I would suggest you get under the car when it is COLD & check the exhaust & Cat heat shields haven't come loose. I lost my Cat heat shield in heavy traffic because I didn't investigate the rattle in time! Look in the general area of the front nearside wheel. HTH :y

Thanks guys for your replies - i will check the cat heatshield.
