I've flushed the cooling system (drain on the rad), but I have a cooling issue.
When driving the temp will rise to over 100, but if I rev the engine it'll drop to what I'd call normal running temps.
Could I have an air lock or is it more likely to be the water pump thats failed?
This is on a 3.0 V6.
Cheers!

That sounds like an air lock, when you refilled, did you burp the system with the filler cap off?

What was your reason for flushing in the first place?

Reason for flushing - car's been stood and I wanted to make sure it had decent cooling, plus it was doing this before flushing it.
I did alot of squeezing of the top hose with the heaters on hot and the cap off. Once I've replaced the fuel filter (damn things developed a leak!) i'm going to try and bleed it again.
Cheers for the replies!

If this was happening previously and the car has been standing for a while. It may be a good time to do an oil change inc. filter. Not all overheating probs are caused by water cooling system.
