but at least now i know why. my brand new laptop has just got the same problem as the identical one i exchanged it for, ie7 simply won't open and msn wont log in, after quite some time on the phone with curry's tech helpline, we found out its one of the microsoft updates causing it, they've got all the codes and they're going to find out about registry values and all alien things like that, then ring me back monday and we'll start deleting the iffy ones, and, yes, it is true, vista is not compatable with quite a lot of things still, so i'll have to use firefox and e-buddy till its fixed, either that or uninstall 71 updates!!!! one final thing, i'd rate currys helpline 11 out of 10, they're brilliant and really try their best for you, and theres no call queing! so if anyones thinking of getting new electrical items, try curry's ;D

But how much do they charge you for the pleasure?.....50p/60p/70p/£1 per min?
Id answer my phone quick and chat for england if i was charging that amount :y ;D
In fact years ago.......i got a phone number (similar to a mobile no) that diverted to my mobile........that charged 75p/min.......i got 50p/min, the phone comp got 25p/min.
I used to give that number out to agencies/etc ;D ;D
The number got turned off when these silly new rules came out....about knowing how much the prefix charged......mine started 07....which is now reserved for mobile numbers.
