Hi everyone,
in the last two days the gear has been stuck in park when i have started it up and then it wont release and allow gear selection in normal. i have to press the brake many many times to activate it and now im leaving it neutral in case it never comes out of p and i cant drive it anymore. Before Marks DTM may have sprayed somthing on a sensor or somthing and it seemed to help for a while, i was wondering if i could do somthing similiar and what should i use and where should i spray etc, pictures would be great because then i can see exactly what to do etc, unless its another problem that is , thanks

Under gearlever is a yellow lever to release parking lock. It`s either the sticking solenoid in pic or a dodgy brake switch up under brake pedal. Pop up gaiter surround to access

There is a small solenoid in the gear lever assembly that operates when the brake is pressed; it sounds like yours is getting lazy in it's old age..
There's actually a picture and description of what to do to manually release it in the owners manual:

Page 139.
You can try lubricating that lever mechanism and solenoid.
[edit] Must .. type .. faster. ;)

i think marks dtm did somthing under the brake pedal, does anybody have a picture or guide of how to do that, as that seemed to fix the problem last time, thanks

Use a silicon spray - not WD40.
