Title: max 4,5k rpm and power loss
Post by: RGrims on 06 October 2010, 00:26:36
Hi.
I got a 1995 Omega 2.0L Ecotec 16v GL Sedan
sometimes when i start it then the warninglight comes on and it can only go to 4,5k rpm before it stops and it seems like it's lost alot of power. i didn't mind so much about it since it used to be enough with re-starting the car, but now it happens all the time, anyone know what's wrong?
it's got all required fluids and service wasn't long ago.

If its the CAM sensor the replace with GENUINE FROM A DEALER only :y

38   O2 Sensor 1 Circuit Voltage Low

Ignore it, get a genuine cam sensor and it should clear both codes :y

As said, do not go to a motor factor.

Bit far, even for you Lee :D

Have a look in the Maintenance Guides, I think someone has done a guide, could be wrong.

hi again.
while changing the cam sensor i broke a bolt.. :p
not the one holding the cam sensor but the one below, going inside the engine, so i drilled in it to get the rest of the bolt out but it was stuck so i made a bigger hole so i could fit a new one and accidentally went through, is there something important in there?
i got the same codes btw. 38 and 92
