Not sure which section this should be posted in?
The first problem is the fan motor is seized. I have had a look through the guides but cannot find a "how to" to change the motor.
Secondly, most of the bulbs on the climate control display do not work, how do i go about changing them?
This is on my 96 cdx estate.
Thanks.

Have you checked fuse #33. Big one, top L/H corner of cabin fusebox

Failing that being the cause, could be the electronic speed control module which sits in the fan casing. Usually gets
knackered when the scuttle fills with rainwater.
If you remove the glove box you will see the module, it is about 2" / 50mm square and clips into the fan housing. Remove it and
prise off the small plastic cover by the terminals. If there is corrosion inside then thats your problem.
To confirm it, follow the wires into the fan motor, find the two thick ones and apply 12V to it, you should get full speed fan if the motor is OK.

Thanks for the reply's. The fan didn't work when i bought the car, but i moved the blades manually with a screwdriver and it came to life. However, whilst working on the car today, i noticed the passenger carpet was damp, so i may have a water ingress issue.
I moved the blades again today with a screwdriver, and it span a quarter of a turn, and then stopped again, and doesn't spin freely.
Also, the car has been stood for a couple of months due to a gearbox issue, so the water ingress problem has more than likely caused an issue with the fan now i think about it.

Blocked scuttle drain can cause water to flow over the fan controller so causing serious problems ... tat water then gets into the footwells.
1. Clear the scuttle drain
2. Make sure you dry the carpets very thouroughly ... they STINK otherwise
3. Possible need a new fan / controller .. :(

I will have another go at it tomorrow. Is the glovebox easily removed? And is this the way to change the motor if req?
