Post by: davethediver on 17 October 2010, 22:25:46
The flexi joint on my exhaust has seen better days, i have a link for this part http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m15b0s1411p5644 which hopefully someone can tell me if its correct.

If so i'll order it tomorrow but what do i need to do with it once i have it? Chop and fit or does it weld in, no idea guys help please :y

That`s the one Dave. Easiest option is to find a friendly garage with a ramp & welding gear & get the old one cut out and the new one welded in

So the suggestion by one garage that i need a new downpipe at a cost of 150 is wrong then ::) ::)

What should i be paying for cutting it out and welding rough guess??

Utter 'dangle berries'. I had mine done in situ earlier this year, they spent about an hour getting it to fit right (cat bracket needs a bit of jigging) charged me £60

I've done a few of these now for £40 but I take the cats off. I always replace the bolts at the back end as they always shear off too.
