Title: cruise control
Post by: fiend61 on 20 October 2010, 23:41:58
hi all
ok i have now fitted my steering wheel with radio controls  :) and everything works  :y (miracle) ::)
i have read somewhere on here about retro fitting cruise control, is it just a case of fitting a stalk plugging both leads in and then getting tech2 to enable ? or am i totally wrong  :(
thanks

Drive by wire, as in no throttle cable. I'm guessing you mean the special?

Drive by Wire - ie no throttle cable

according to your profile :

2.5 - normal, has cable
3.2 - DBW - no cable, electronically driven

My dealer in Milton Keynes charges "1hr" for cruise enable. Last time I checked, that was £85 + VAT there.

Could try a quiet chat with their mechanics, see if they will take a bung...

Tech2 has to go through authorisation process, so depends if they have already turned the PC on ;D ;D
