Title: Harmon Kardon help/advice
Post by: cbs2 on 13 January 2008, 15:36:32
Bought one of these drive & play's for my wifes ipod.
Its all in & wired, but all I get is "ipod disconnected" on the screen and the aux input won't play from my phone.

Before I open a can of whoop ass on the supplier, anybody else got one, and have I done something or forgotton something daft??

Ipod disconnected will imply one of two things is disconnected/faulty

The ipod lead itself has been broken or is tapped
The controller unit, the bit with the buttons on it is disconnected/broken

If the main brain was faulty it would shut down and the same for the screen.

I was supplied one about a year ago with a faulty ipod lead, it had that message on the screen.

Is the ipod being charged when you plug it in?

you may have already done this, but i would disconnect the live/earth multiplug power the unit down, check all the connections and then rebuild it, try it one last time, if you still have the issue then the ipod lead it faulty and will need replacing.
