My car is making an engine noise. He began making unusually hot and then but now it constantly. It seems to be ahead, on the belt, but the mechanic is telling me is that the injection pump. What could it be? The car has 100,000 km now.
Tks,

...... and your Omega is a 2.5 diesel, 2.2 diesel or other? :-/ :-/ ;) :y :y

If i'm reading this right, your car has been overheating now and again, and is now overheating constantly & you have a noise coming from the front of the engine somewhere in the vicinity of the belt ? :-?
If this is so, then it may be that your waterpump bearing is failing, or it has shed a blade? :-/

That was my first thought Phil, all dependant on the engine of course. :y

but the mechanic is telling me is that the injection pump.
.
I fail to see how this would cause overheating.
So I'll also put my money on the water pump.
