Hi All
Firstly, a big thanks to sparksandnoise for supplying the aluminium headlight adjusters - fantastic bit of engineering!
I've re-assembled the headlight units, and had the vertical alignment checked, but Im not sure what the "horizontal" alignment should be.
Currently the N/S beam points directly ahead, and the O/S one converges with the N/S beam approx 20 feet in front of the car.
Can somebody please tell me if this is correct?

I believe they are both suppose to point left, and shouldn't converge

Thanks for the reply, I dont suppose anyone has a photo of what their headlight illumination pattern looks like on the road they could post please? :-/

When testing at mot they place a gauge about 2 feet in front of the car in, and although the beam position has to be quite accurately set in the gauge, by the time the beam hits the road 50 feet in front of the car it can vary significantly.
As to what the correct beam should look like on the road, rather than just passing the mot, I would like to know also. Mot passed on mine obviously, but I am not happy with the beam pattern either, needs a tweak.

same here, both point left and aim is the same but its too much to the left. could do with them being a bit straighter somehow.

Find a long, off road, lay by, go at night and adjust to suit, not done this on the Mig but have done on many a previous car, particularly when setting up spot lights.. :)

need to get it done, ill do that i think. :y

Cheers guys, apologies for not posting earlier.
Luckily I have a quiet road where I live, so I spent an hour the other evening playing around with the alignment. With Osram Nightbreakers, I have actually achieved a decent level of light output (compared to before!)
