hello all...as above, anybody know if either version is best?...both claim to do a great job,and i am sure they do, but sdp coming in at £5, and slick 50 about £13!...am i missing something,or is one really better than the other?...many thanks in advance for replies.....kev :y

They are totally different products. One is an oil additive (which I wouldn't touch with a bargepole) and the other is a fuel treatment.
To be honest, both are probably snake oil. Regular oil changes and perhaps an annual treatment of injector cleaner are all an engine needs.

Ahh, OK. Thought you meant the traditional Slick 50.
Less marketing glitz and therefore cheaper but probably the same product (as far as you can tell, when the results are invisible). STP is probably just as good. Go for the cheap one.
Every 3K is probably overkill too, IMHO.

used Forte petrol treatment on a tvr in a bid to cure poor running once, after a hundred miles or so we decided to remove the inlet system, then the heads and you could actually see where the forte had been, the fault turned out to be a small leak on one valve but was impressed you could follow the path of the fuel throughout the inlet and the valves, never used the others but can reccommend forte fuel system treatment :y

Yeah! cost price is only about £3.50 yet dealers charge up to £30 when you do it as apart of a service. Must be the labour charge for them to pour it in ;D

can usually find it on ebay :y

Just bought some on ebay for about £8.50 delivered. Will be interested to see it's affects!

Be carefull which forte product you buy. In my experience, Forte gas treatment does very little, whereas Forte specialist injector cleaner works very well :y
