hi
on my 2.5 i have a noise at the front of the engine, mechanic has looked at and has said it seems to be the "tensioner pulley" :'( he reckons that you can't get the pulley on its own and have to buy complete unit £60 :'( what he doesn't know is if the pulley can be just be changed from the new tensioner, or whether the whole unit has to be changed? he is trying to save me labour costs, any advice would be great :y

Change the bearing and the pulley new, they come together, don't let them try and tell you that you need the tensioner as well :y
