Title: Climate Panel on a facelift......
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 13 January 2008, 16:52:15
Doesnt have a sampling fan.......so how does the air in the cabin get drawn over the sensor?  :-/ My guess it doesnt but seems a bit strange to me  :-/

Not taken one apart. Maybe facelift has more sensors in all the vents, so doesn't need sampling?

Well.......it has the slots for air intake......and on the circuit board behind the slots it has what i think is a surface mount thermistor.......tho i maybe wrong on that.....theres summat surface mounted and that was my best guess  :-/

Not a tube running from the sensor down to the main fan to give a bit of airflow perhaps?

It does have 2 more sensors each side according to wiring diagram IIRC, so it may not be as reliant on that sensor :-/

Its a pretty much sealed unit TBH until you start taking it apart.......i did think of main fan giving it some airflow.......but as i say its pretty much sealed until you start taking it apart......so no i dont think so...

Aha!!! I said some time ago that my sampling fan wouldn't hold a piece of tissue paper through suction.

Now I know why. ;D ;D ;D

Facelift climate control is pretty crap, i'd be after the software upgade to see if that improves it?  ::)
