Title: EML
Post by: STMO123 on 05 October 2006, 19:37:11
As you may, or may not, know, I have been running around with my EML on for the last month or so now. Paperclip test showed me it was knock sensor 1. Despite the best advice of the more knowledgable ones on the forum, I was convinced that it wasn't making that much difference to the driving experience.
Anyway, I had it done yesterday and when I went to pick the car up the difference was amazing. I had obviously become used to the lack of power and response.
So, once again, Marks DTM and Jaime, you were correct. Sorry I doubted you and I wont do it again. Honest [smiley=evil.gif]

Lovely motor Liam but with MG/Rover, it really is a case of love 'em or hate 'em. With the amount of bad publicity surrounding the demise of rover, I'm surprised that anybody would even consider buying one. Yet, there they are. Thousands of the buggers everywhere.
Not the best car in the world, but certainly one of the best bargains. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

A knackered knock sensor will have a huge difference on performance, esp above 2k...

My brother in law swears by them and has never bought anything else. I have recently bought a cheap 25 diesel for the wife and I can't believe how quick it is ;)
