Hi guys, my 98 Meega has a leak on the drivers side which is causing water to collect under the carpet in the footwell. I had the same issue a while ago and found the drain hole on the driver side in the scuttle completely blocked. Clearing that seemed to fix the problem.
This time it is clear yet the car continues to leak. The passenger side is completely dry. Any ideas or suggestion please before I get the screen refitted?
Thanks, Paul

check the passenger side, in the pollen filter housing - make sure that drain is clear as well.
water leaks can be very difficult to trace, it could easily be something like the passenger side drain blocked making its way into the drivers footwell. Loads of other possibilities as well so do not condemn the screen unless you are sure that's where the leak is

also, check the heater matrix as this will leak into the drivers side, & sun roof drains, any water appearing to run down the screen?. :y

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I've removed the soundproofing foam from the drivers footwell, it was absolutely soaked. That's now drying out in the house.
I checked the passenger, 100% bone dry.
I checked the drain hole underneath the pollen filter, that was blocked completely. I managed to clear it. I also ran a length of 1.5mm wire down both sunroof channels, no blockages found. Ran the motor, couldn't see any leaks from the heater matrix. Now have newspaper stuffed up inside the footwell to trap any new water ingress. Hopefully the blocked drain was the cause and it's fixed.
Cheers, Paul
