check the vent in the boot drivers side near back in well make sure it is not covered with useful items that never get used

if you find the problem please post it, my 2.2dti elite is a right pain for misting up, up for work and inside of windscreen is wet, really wet, checked for leaks and drainige holes all clear including vent in the boot, and cannot clear it at all with blowers, eco mode, the round button with the a in it on, full heat and still wont clear! have to use a squeegie and a towel to clear the screen enough to bloody see
why does the omega do this?
-
its worth checking your carpets for dampness, if the scuttle drain has been blocked at anytime allowing water into the car, its possible the soundproofing under the carpet is still saturated, use a vax on the carpets and try to suck as much moisture out of them as possible.
a dehumidifer left running in the car worked perfectly for me.

Eco mode turns OFF the aircon so the dehumidifying aspect won't work .. rmake sure you are running FULL air con and NOT recirculating for a start.
Also check the air con filter ... if that is wet/damp you are pumping moist air into the cabin.
IMHO Omega air con is superb at removing condensation .. I've no problems at all with either of mine.

where is the aircon filter?
-
my aircon filter is clean but every time i wash the car and water drains through the scuddle the windscreen gets full of mist. this also happens when its raining outside. i use the eco button to get rid of it.
the pollen filter is located (left hand drive) on the passenger side. open the bonnet, look at the scuddle there , lift the rubber gasket and there should be a cap.

only replaced pollen filter recently , hasnt been raining today south coast and car fine at 6am but come out of work at 5pm and insidec of windscreen misty and needed wiping with a tea towel and heater with ac on windscreen still took 5 mins or more to clear with wiping,
love my car and dont want a vectra or a zafira like the missus and kids want!

This took me a while to find but knew I'd seen it posted before - this was info from VX (presumably) posted by MDTM some time ago and it worked for me.
Field Remedy: 1417
Subject: Electronic air conditioning ECC - Window fogging after engine start
Models: Engines:
Option:
Omega-B 2000...2002 All ECC
Complaint: The windscreen will suddenly start to become fogged at inner side caused due to increasing humidity inside the car.
Cause: At outside temperatures of 5 ° C and less with a battery which is not fully charged, recirculation flap is switching to recirculation mode if the supply voltage drops below 9 V for short time.
Production: As of VIN W0L0VBF6921013332 a corrective action has been introduced in production.
Remedy:
In case of customer complaints see the following instruction. This failure can be identified when the problem disappears after switching-on and off the air recirculation function. Procedure: First switch on Auto mode, switch-on the air recirculation by pressing the button A once (3 round arrows will be indicated, without "A" in the middle). Now the ECC will recognize the correct flap position. Wait 1-2 s and then switch-off the air recirculation by pressing the button A again.
FunctionalGroup: D - Heating/Ventilation/Air conditioning
Complaint Group: 13 - No/Poor Function

If the Eco light is on then the aircon is off. :y

eco is short for 'economy' ie you're supposed to be be saving fuel when the compressor is disengaged. :y
Please read the manual (http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf) ::) :y :y

I would suggest that the pollen filter may be damp, take it out and keep in the house overnight, say in the airing cupboard, re-fit the following morning and see how it goes.
I had a similar experience once, when I changed my pollen filter, the above cured it.

Strange :-/ i've had the misting problem since i replaced the pollen filter . might try the 'A' button trick as the battery is getting tired (over 4 years old)
