Title: Not starting when cold
Post by: rossi123 on 20 November 2010, 01:06:49
I have an intermittent fault where sometimes when it's cold my car won't start and when it does it's laboured and the traction control light is on other times it's fine mostly it doesn't start properly I have tried the idle control valve and it's doesn't seem to be that so I'm at a loss ???
Any help would be appreciated
Paul

on a rover i used to own it had similar problems and it was down to the coolant temp sensor  although i dont see how that would bring on tc light   maybe worth a try as cheap to replace

just did the paperclip trick and it came up with 12 and 31 which is normal i think cuz of engine not running i think the abs ecu that i've just fitted maystill be faulty but don't see how it can affect starting problems grrrrrrrr it's a good job i love my car
