obviously the tech 2 is the best tool for reading codes/diagnostics etc,but how much and where do you get a rudementary code reader from  :y

It's not that difficult to find, there are only two sections it can possibly be in.

....and both are well indexed.

Always worth checking the index of the FAQ section and the Maintenence Guides section - both have a index of posts at the top :y

It's a lot easier to find these things when you don't need them. ;)  It's Murphy's Law again.  I've spent ages looking for stuff even when I know it's there and have drawn a blank in the past.
