Title: HELP 3.0 Wont start after oil cooler change
Post by: Filth_Mobile_Jim on 22 November 2010, 11:45:10
Over the weekend, i changed the Oil Cooler, Rocker cover gaskets, transmission mount, and left hand engine mount, cleaned out the plenum and breathers and changed the plugs. Now ive filled up with oil and water and tried to start it. It cranks but wont fire. Ive taken a plug out and its covered in fuel, so fuel is ok. I put the plug in the HT lead and earthed it on the plenum. No spark. Ive checked all the obvious connectors, like maf and injectors but can find anything obvious. HELP!  :(

Ok, just done the paper clip test (thanks for the link), and it just returns the 12 and 31, nothing else, just those looped over. So i tried starting it again, and its just the same!

Double check all the plugs around the engine bay especially the cam sensor.

Sorted now. It was the small connector on the DIS pack. Must have popped off when i pushed the oil pipes out of the way!  :D
