Title: COOLANT LEVEL DROPING no apparent leak
Post by: arthill on 25 November 2010, 17:39:18
Hi. :-/  My coolant level has been falling for the last few days and the heater takes ages to work, and even then to get normal heat high revs are required, on previous cars i found this to be caused by faulty or sticky thermostat but not sure if this can be the case in the Omega, the fact that heat is eventually coming through suggests to me that the matrix is working, water bottle is still presurising. Any suggestions ??  :-/

Does engine warm up properly? If so, hbv fault possibly.

If not, check stat,, and locate the leak as well

Engine warms up normaly and temperature guage shows normal, no leaks apparent unde car and water bottle presureising, would this still happen with a leak or could coolant be vaporising somehow.

I would be closely looking around the HBV...
