My central locking stopped working years ago so I need to use the key to get in. I find the lock prone to freezing up in this cold weather.
I've tried using WD40 but without much success .... any suggestions please as to how I can eradicate the problem?

WD40 might be OK to initially disperse the water, but you then need something stickier to stay put where you've sprayed it. Try a chain lub. :y

Or a PTFE based silicone lubricant :y

i believe gun oil is the one as it doesnt attract dirt and wear your lock prematurely also you can buy lock de-icer a squirt of that will clear the lock pretty quick also a good time to be putting a bit of vaseline on your door seals to stop them sticking and getting ripped apart.

Try pissing on the lock then wait a few seconds before inserting the key, Works wonders :y
