Title: Wheel Compatibility !
Post by: duggs on 23 November 2010, 20:31:21
I'm currently looking at a set of VX Alloys that came from a Vectra C. They're the design that was fitted to the last of the Omega Elites/MV6's I believe and are currently fitted with 215/50/17.

My question is this....Can I refit my 245/45/17's on them. Asked the vendor what depth the wheels are and he sais he doesn't know. I thought the depth is printed on them.

Are the Elites 7.5 or 8 ?

235/45/17 is the correct size to use, the will fit physically, but you may want to use spacers to make them fill the arches as they are fwd wheels.

remember that the track (the thing that you need to preserve) depends on both the offset and the wheel width
