hi all,
I don't have the 'key' for the locking wheel nuts on the rear wheels (there's none on the front).
Any ideas as to what I do to get one?
thanks

you could try one of these :-/
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_196491_langId_-1_categoryId_165469 but the type of locking bolt does depend on how well these work because there is a rotating collar on the bolt for exactly this reason.
Or you could drive to ATS when they're not too busy & ask them nicely ..... like I did ;) ;) ;) Our local ATS had a range of sizes. :y :y

If they are genuine VX locking nuts then the dealer may be able to sort a new removal key for you.
I had a similar problem of trying to remove a stubborn locking bolt (key was chewed up as well)
They supplied a new bolt key, but that was easy because the number was on the old one. They can also identify your's maybe without a number. I say maybe as some dealers will try, a bit hit and miss really.
Oh and if it's a dealer job be prepared to part with a few £££'s if they can supply one.
Get rid of the locking bolts they're more trouble that they are worth, in my opinion.

As Mick says, originally a set of locking bolts came the code on a slip of paper in the box, the dealer needs this code.

Or do what I did if all else fails - get an old 18mm socket, hammer it on the old locking nuts and undo them, then buy some decent new ones, complete with locking key, which you keep safe ;D
