Title: LPG Switch?
Post by: pigtown on 13 December 2010, 19:31:03
LPG switch has started to go haywire!
The power LED goes out as if there is no power yet there is when measured with a meter. It is intermittent and works sometimes. I tried to power it up on the bench and the LED does not come on with 12v applied. Does anyone know if another input is required to power up?

2.2 was never offered with Duel Fuel, so guessing aftermarket LPG...

If you state LPG kit, somebody may know...

It's a mixer system the name on the switch is Milano.
It has a 3 way switch and a row of LEDs to show gas level.

Afraid I've never heard of that make but I'd advise checking all connections, including power connections for the kit too ;)

Power is there even when the switch is going off. But with a bench power supply I cannot get the LEDs on so I'm thinking there must be another input required to allow it  to work. Unless it is the switch unit itself that is dead.  I have seen a diagram and there is a connection to the coil to get the revs input so I'll have to check that connection.
