I know there are two types of pollen filter, white paper one and grey carbon impregnated but is the grey one really any better than the white paper one ?
-
I thought the paper one was for earlier omega's. facelift was the carbon one.
tried a paper one in mine, no good.
no misting up with the carbon though :)
-
I fitted the later one to mine which should take the earlier one. Very difficult to assess which is best. They both fit. :y :y :y

Facelifts NEED the more expensive carbon types due to the air quality sensor. Prefacelifts (climate or otherwise) can use either, so I use the cheaper white type in my prefacelift.

My local Vauxhall main dealers gave me the white one for my 2003 Omega, and this was after I had given them the reg.
Do I have the wrong one fitted? :-/

Yup, it will be switched to constant recirc as the air quality sensor will be thinking the carbon filter has failed.

Snap! That's what they've done with me aswell. I went to get some oil and filters before christmas and thought i'd get a new pollen filter at the same time, went to fit it yesterday and it's a white one >:(
I gave them the correct part number (91365208)and the reg number and chassis number and they charged me for the correct one but they gave me a sealed box with the correct part number on it but when i opened it lo and behold there's a white paper one in there >:(
