Just type www.ebay.de in to your browser of choice, and when you have found something you want to no about, then copy and paste the text into something like this-
http://www.freetranslation.com/
It is not a perfect translation but you get the jist of it.

Thanks for that, I have learnt something tonight.
I saw it on there and said to myself "I have never seen one of them before"

Haven't we got an Omega owner over there who might be able to help ?. I've bought stuff from Germany before, and shipping wasn't a problem for the German Delivery Service, very efficient as you would expect  ;D ;D ;D

I'll tell you what upsets me a bit, when I hear Germans on TV, etc, they are all speaking Perfect English, and will understand you perfectly. My German knowlege is next to zero. Is there something wrong with our Education system, or is it just me ?

No, we speak the language of the world (mainly thanks to the Americans and their perverted form of our language) so we just arrogantly don't bother to learn any other language, safe in the knowledge that most others will learn ours ;)

Yes Ken there is something very wrong with our education system, Both my lads our at school learning French and they still teach them to write it down and the masculine and feminine side of the French language before they ever get a chance to speak a word of the language. This is an unnatural way to learn a language, after all did we learn English by writing it down ? no we did not we learnt to speak it first and then write it.
Schools have a lot to answer for, but not discipline as that was taken away from schools and parents by this PC government.

Sorry for the rant

I'm a fan of Ebay and have bought and sold all over including Germany.

I learnt French and German at school. Since then I have realised that very few peoples speak German or French. Schools in my day should have taught Spanish as the second language given that after English and Chinese it is the third language of the world. Of course nowadays Chinese would be the second language for anyone wanting their kids to get on in life!

In my experience most Germans and Dutch speak excellent English. Quite a few French do as well . Only the younger kids in Spain and the professionals like lawyers speak English (except for hotel staff on the Costas).

You could always open a euro bank account to buy from Ebay euroland. If you have a min of 200,000 to spare you could try some currency trading to finance your shocking euro bank charges!!

The Americans made one mistake when they went indepedent, They called their language English instead of American.
