Whilst on the m-way the ABS light comes on after about 10m of travel the question is has a sensor packed in.

did rev/speedo gauge also fail, or was it just the ABS light?

If it was just the ABS light, could be sensor on one of the wheel hubs  :y

Good sign, means its not ABS ECU, as said, check the cogs on the back of the wheels, the sensor reads these to detect movement, make sure they are clean  :y
