.....can a facelift steering wheel be fitted to a prefacelift and will the audio controls still work ?

mine did  :y
my explod had steering wheel without radio controls but swapped it with complete facelift one including squib and airbag
just make sure that you centre the squib correctly- fully rotate squib to the left or right then rotate fully in opposite direction counting the revolutions then rotate back halfway i.e if 6 full revolutions from left to right rotate 3 full revolutions back left  :y

Only if your car already has steering wheel controls.

If not, you need wiring, contactor unit, and a compatible stereo.

the ex-plod didnt have steering wheel controls but luckily wiring was there fitted a ccr 2005 because didnt have radio and everything worked fine  :y
maybe i was lucky  ;D
