Title: Low water temperature

Hi all
I think my thermostat must be stuck open on my 2.6 CD as the temperature gauge never gets off cold and the heater is cool. Does anyone know where it is located and how to change it

its int he centre of the V unfortunately, there is a maint guide on it. check the link in my sig.

seem to be loads going at the mo, I dont think they like the cold.

Sounds as tho you have the same problems as Had with mine before I changed mine, so I would suggest that you change it.

A few tips  that I gained from here that  are worth there weight in gold are

New metal pipe ( Joins the stat to the rubber pipe) much better fit I found
shorter bolts or washers or cut the old ones down  with a hacksaw ( there you go Jimbo  ;) ;D) when bolting down the stat.

You might need a new HBV if the heat doesnt return once  the stat is changed or you are loseing coolant  when the heating is used. HTH
