Title: PAS fluid, easy Q.
Post by: Varche on 11 January 2011, 15:24:47
I cannot find the spec of fluid used to top up PAS reservoir on the forum or in Haynes!

I seem to remember you can't use Dexron111.

What is it please?

Always thought you could use Dexron 111, Is Dexron 111 not improved Dexro 11 or is it totally different ?

It's Dex 11 only. It was once upgraded to 111, but after a spate of leaking pas pipes it was downgraded to 11 again.

Ah i see, i knew it was OK to use Dexron 111 at one time but didn't know it had been refered back to Dexron 11.

I stand corrected   8-)

For the same reason I only use Dex 111 in the gearbox, rather than the newer Dexrons the dealers try to sell us when they have run out of 111. Yes it's supposed to be better than 111 but has it been tested on the omega box? I don't think so!

Although it has to be said, Dex 111 is too expensive from the dealers anyway.
