Hi Folks,
I have an Omega B (2001) and need to remove the complete ashtray from the dash, as I think something has slipped behind it as it is not closing properly.
Before I start, can anyone give me any pointers as to how to do it? I am sure it is very simple, but I can't see anything obvious, and I don't want to start pulling and leavering it, as in my experience this will lead to me breaking it before then working out how I should have done it!
Thanks in advance
Dom

Very straightforward take out ashtray and there is one phillips screw at the back in the middle, difficult to see shine a torch. When this is removed the full system will come out. Remember their is a electrical plug th the cigarette lighter. so dont pull it out to hard.

On a similar note, what's likely to be wrong with an ash tray if it won't open by pressing it? If I want access to mine I have to use both hands to pry it open from the sides.

The mechanisms break if treated too roughly, easily replaced though if you can find one 2nd hand that isn't already broken. Is yours pre/mini facelift or facelift?

Facelift. Does that mean it's not repairable and replacement only?
Sorry for slight thread hi-jack.
