Firstly must thank Mark DTM for posting the pressure page (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1176583378) from the manual, as my book only shows 2.2-2.6-3.2, and it's a 3.0, someone ordered the wrong manual as a spare I think!
I spend 95% of the time alone in my car :'(, but with a very loaded boot. Should I use the loaded rear pressure (42) & the unloaded front press
ure (31.5) or the loaded all round (42r & 36f)?
3.0 F/L saloon, with 235/45 R17, & a fair bit of "spirited" motorway use 8-)

Got 150 piece tool kit, oil, spare wheel, pump, jacket, fire extinguisher and some anti freeze in my boot. I have mine at 32psi all round, seems fine for me.
-
That's my point, I estimate best part of 200kgs in my boot, think you're spot on with your load!
-
& if anyone suggests I buy a van, I won't be responsible for my comments :-X
-
you can find the correct pressure setting for different loads , by checking the side walls.. they must be -not exactly the same- but close to the the shape when they are not installed on wheels..
-
i have a full set of tools in my boot i.e 2 tooll boxes drills etc etc i run mine on 30psi had no wear on tyres and runs perfect even on spirited motorway driving ;)
-
Fronts 41psi, Rears 48psi. Full load pressures on mine because I never know what my load will be from one job to the next :-/.
-
Have asked this before, to no avail, as you say it's very vague. At what point does a load need increased pressure? And what weight is fully loaded exactly...?
Personally I go with what feels right, sc3's seem to have a specific range, too high a pressure and the ride feels harsh, to low and it starts to wander and feel gooey. Add weight and the pressure starts to feel low again, but what weight that feeling arrives I cant say.
Trouble is not all tyres behave in that same way.
-
I had mine at 34 rear, 32 fronts. I had it at 34 because of the lpg tank in the boot plus other stuff.
But the tyres wore down the middle so it was too high :(, I'm now on 30 all round.... Hopefully it'll wear down the edges.... ;D
-
I go 32 all round, seems to wear nice and even and handle smoothly...
-
I vary mine by quite a bit, but on average 33 all round with no passengers. This is fine, even with a heavy TD up front. If loading the boot I add 6psi rear & a couple extra in the front, with passengers I add more all round. Best bet is to let your tyres tell you what is right.
-
Hmm, I keep mine at 35 all round due to the extra weight of the lpg tank (when i've got 4 good fully inflated tyres that is & some ba***rd hasn't showered the road with screws!) :y

Thanx for the input guys, differing as it may be!
Think I'll do some playing with a pump & see what feels right as Chris says.
If the results are not sleep-inducing, I'll let y'all know ;)
