Hi all,
Just found out today, going to need 2 front tyres :(
Found a deal on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, are they any good does anyone know or any recommended tyre?
Like most people now days, money is tight especially as its car tax time too :-[
TIA :y

Found these tyres on a deal too, but not heard of these....
Cooper Zeon 2XS High Performance Sports Car Tyres? :-/

Sport Maxx work well on an Omega, in my opinion.
They are not the quietest tyres but that's about the only bad thing I can say about them. Excellent levels of grip wet and dry, plenty of feedback and the wear rate was reasonable for a tyre with decent grip.

Thanks Kevin.....will go and check them out! :y

dunlops are far superior to coopers..

Cheers CEM,
your advice duly noted.... Dunlops it is then!
Thanks all :y

dunlops are far superior to coopers..
I know I've cut off my nose to spite my face, but years ago I fitted two Dunlop C41's to the front of a MK1 Consul which I rallied at the time. After 3 miles the O/S tyre split 6" down the centre of the tread. Back to Dunlops via my stepfather's large garage for inspection, they denied responsibilty, and said I had driven over a large sharp object (I hadn't.) So I've never, knowingly, bought Dunlop since. >:(

customer complaints about coopers beat the dunlop complaints, hands down ;D aside from that I never see any cooper model entering top 10 lists..

Just to update, in the garage tomorrow for 2 new tyres... the bank balance is going ouch but better safe than sorry!
Thanks again for the advice :y

Would have gone for sport maxx if they did a model with rim protection in my 18" 245 35 wheel size. Went for sc3 j in the end which where a fraction cheaper.
Should be fine on 17"(?) though.
Go for it.

... And I wouldn't touch the coopers.
The omega needs a planted tyre with good directional stability IMO. Which means Dunlop ideally. Or as close to thier performance as possible anyway. Also consider conti sc2/3.

you better check the top lists imo :y
