Hi,
By some strange coincidence mine has just done the same thing.  I have also replaced the sensor to no avail.

I have checked the wiring as far as the first connector on the left side and all looks OK.

I have also put a meter on both sensors and both show approx 5k to 6k ohms, so at this stage I can only assume that either (a) there's an intermittent in the wiring somewhere or (b) the software has shutdown permanently because of too many faults and has to be reset in some way.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Regards.

mine has driven me mad , as we speak it is in pieces in vauxhall workshop, no dashboard in ,  engine bay covered in wires and they still can't find the faulty wire , i have been told to expect a bill somewhere between £ 250.00  -  £ 300.00, not happy , regards mike >:(

Ouch!

Sorry to rub salt into the wound but I have just fixed mine.  Sure enough it was a broken wire but I had to remove the horns and haul the loom back up to the battery box before I could find it. After that it was luckily just a simple solder job and a few grazed knuckles getting the loom back down the hole.

Regards,
Joe.

Well, mine went bust again about 6 months ago and I have finally given up trying to locate the broken wires. Does anyone know where they terminate in a 2.0i Omega B 1999 - is it directly at the display?

Regards.
