Cheers all... :y

The Lemforders in my case lasted no longer than the cheaper ones

I've decided to accept that wishbones are a service item. The cheapies I fit last around 2 years (I replaced the last set earlier than entirely needed as I wanted new tyres and geometry done) and as I change them myself there is no labour cost to factor in ;) ;)
That said, I'm not 100% convinced that one of the bushes isn't on its way out and these have been on under a year :-/

.... And the alternative is..... ? Given both bushes are fubar?
Also remember allgerman guarantee theirs for two years.

Bearing in mind how quickly MDTM got through the last set of Lemforder ones I'm happy with changing them frequently :y TBH, with the state of our roads nowadays it's probably a good thing that the geometry is done regularly :y :y

My Lemforder ones lasted just over 2 years, the originals 3 years, the re-bushed ones 3ish years and the cheap set 2 years.
I currently have lemforders with polybushes in the front.

Which is why I, personally, feel that the cheapies are OK for me because I have no labour charges involved in changing them. If I was paying someone to do it then it would be a different matter ;)
2 years between WIM visits is, IMO, more than long enough and they aren't close enough to justify an annual visit "just in case"

Agreed but, what I am saying is that I am not convinced that the Lemforder ones are worth the extra 60-70 quid :y

Which means we're both saying the same thing. I can't justify the extra for Lemforder. Others can... Each to their own I suppose :y :y

If I had to do some more, I would fit new rear vertical bushes (if required as they dont fail nearly as often) and polys in the front on the existing wishbones.....at a cost of £60ish :y

Must admit... That is the direction I think I'll be going

And if your only doing the front bushes, you dont even need to remove the wishbones!

That thought had crossed my mind ::) ::)
Although I doubt it will save me much time TBH... Think the last change took about 2 and a half hours including getting the tools out and putting them away again (and drinking a gallon of tea ::)) :y
Mind you... I did the last set too so I knew things weren't seized :y
-
You can change the front without removing it? That's a good idea... if just changing to poly's at the front etc.
Lemforder arms with polys? I thought it was the bushes that failed on the cheap parts... so what's the point in spending the extra, just get cheap arm and upgrade bushes?
Unless, as with me, I can't find anyone that does the vertical bush in poly.... :(
