I assume you mean a Panel Filter ?

I dont know where to get one, or even what one is, but if it is anything like the picture Tunnie has posted, and judging by his comment, it must be a good thing :y :y

No, if you think its crap, it is more than likely good ;D ;D
-
Dont get a cone filter. If you want a performance filter just get a replacement panel one
For eg.

Simple physics, what does an engine like more? Nice cool air taken from underneath the car, or warm engine bay air?
All these things do is make a nice noise, you actually get a reduction in power.

But the cone filter is a POWER filter ;D

I bet its fooking cold under the bonnet of a Norwegian omega :y
-
its still cooler underneath, no engine heat
-
hehe! it's right what is on the picture,
I never tryed a panel filter before, does it give any noise?
I'am used to power filter on my other cars, gives a nice sound :P,
do u really get the same sound from a panel filter?
-

What makes you think Omegas induct air from underneath the car?

But the cone filter is a POWER filter ;D
Thats what they say but there all blow and no go. Utilising the standard air box and air feed with a performance panel filter is a better way.
-
if its sound your after go for it, the V6 do sound quite tasty with them fitted, not sure on 2.2 :y :y
But ask yourself this, why did a manufacture spend £1,000's developing an in-take system :)
Stock system will give better performance, but won't sound as nice

No noise from a panel filter but it will be a better all rounder. Unless you want to spend a few hundred £££ on a closed induction kit as a £10 filter off ebay will lose you a few bhp but give you more noise.

I never had any problems with engine on my others cars,
The powerfilter would still get cold air from a "plastic pipe" that's fittet on the front of the car, but of course it would not get so much cold air as normal, but it doesen't give any danger on the engine :)

Never any danger, will run just fine. Its just stock setup will perform better, I think the fact it *sounds* better, often makes you think its faster ;D

From my experience a cone filter with a cold air feed will help but unless its enclosed you will just gain noise and probably lose a few bhp.
If i had 2.0 16v i would want to keep all my BHP rather than gain a boy racer noise. :y ;)

hmm, yeah okey, i was searching on the internett and found panel filter, and single powerfilter, it cost me the same price, but i must find out what is the best thing to buy :P

Yeah i think you have right :y it's not a big engine so best to keep the bhp's that the engine have :)

Your'e right! why bother with such things as gas flowed heads, extractor manifolds, or any other aftermarket performance parts when the manufacturer has spent the bare minnium on developing even better parts ::)

Performance panel filter will give you maybe 1 or 2 more bhp and fully use the standard air intake. Id go for that and just enjoy the sound of that rev happy 16v engine :y

Take the throttle body off, give than a good clean, same with breather pipes, along with some quick oil chanages will no doubt give you better increase in performance.

Awsome! :y
I've see that i have a new wash project to get started on =)

Yeah after what i've read here, then i gonna go for the panel filter :)
-
Consider that the same panel filter is fitted to all engines in the Omega range... Including the 3.2 V6, which needs over half as much air again compared to the 2.0. The filter is not going to be the weakest link with a 2.0 engine. I would save your money, TBH.

Cost
Torque spread
Noise
And cone filters are useless - panels are much better.
And cut the pipe off in the airbox - seems to flow better
-
So what panel filter do you guys recomend?
Does anyone know of an internett site that i can buy this on?
Thanks for the good help :y

Also, what does an oil impregnated filter do to the MAF? :o
