Im trying to remove and clean the nozzle and have tryed to follow the Haynes instructions, but all I have managed to do is scratch the under side of the bonnet.
Haynes says disconnect the wiring and supply hose,depress the tabs at the rear of the body and remove upwards.
Well that dont work.
Anyone got a fool proof method of removal

whats actually wrong with the washer jets/nozzle? the are usually fine, I use a small pin from a sewing hit to angle the jets, which also cleans them. If its a lack of pressure, take the pump out on the screen wash tank, there is a gauze in there which often gets bunged up and causes poor flow.
Apart from popping off the feed pipe, there should be no need to remove the nozzle. :y

Well I had the same problem on my 97 2.5 with heated nozzles. The total lack of flow was down to an internal blockage which I never managed to cure. The device has a 90 degree bend inside from memory.
I "cured it" by fitting a s/h one from a forum breaker. From memory it is held on by some form of clip under the bonnet.

I seem to recall the Senator had them on the bonnet surface and I used to reverse-flush them by pressing a garden hose over the nozzles. Might need to warm the hose end first to allow it to flair. And disconnect the feed under the bonnet to let the water out!
I found that using a pin sometimes pushed foreign objects (crud) back into a cavity from which they would sneak to re-block the nozzles. Generally the best way of re-setting the nozzles though.

That's pretty much it. I thought I had a photo some where of one ........ but it appears not. ::) Do one side at a time, it does work. I'd suggest a kettle of boiling water poured over the tubing before you try to pul it of each nozzle or there's a good chance you'll break something while everything is cold & brittle.
As Tunnie says, if you've a lack of water from the nozzles, it's a good bet that the filter that the pump sits in is blocked. Have a look here. :y

When I press the washer button I get a short squirt from the jet and then it dribbles across the bonnet although the near side works fine with good flow.
I think im going to have a go at reverse flushing before risking breaking the thing off :y

I'd be looking at the pump filter at bottle. IMO you have apressure problem, not a blockage :y :y

I need to flush out my tank as the rubber gauze filter is alway blocking up.
I get a reduced power jet on the passenger side and a pathetic dribble on the drivers side.
Seeing as the tank filter is the easiest to do, I'd also say check that first. :y

If you are convinced it's the jets, you could get a couple from a breaker on here, or even fit some Insignia ones. ::)

You actually removed the whole thing? :-? It seemed like too much effort to me, I just removed the pumps form the bottle & shoved the hose pipe into the filler pipe and flushed it that way. ;) ;) ;) ;)

You actually removed the whole thing? :-? It seemed like too much effort to me, I just removed the pumps form the bottle & shoved the hose pipe into the filler pipe and flushed it that way. ;) ;) ;) ;)
Tried that a few months back, but it didn't sort it on mine. :(
Top tip if trying this method: Do not shove hose into filler pipe, turn on water and then remove the pump....with face directly above.
This I can advise against through personal experience. :-[ [size=14]

Update !
I found that the supply hose has a join by the PAS bottle which I seperated.
I then got my hose pipe and held it on the washer jet and got MrsB to turn on the tap, after a few seconds it started to flow back through the pipe I then did the other jet and had good flow.
I re joined the pipe and now have working screen washers on both sides.
The drivers side will need another blast to equal the other side flow rate.
