Drivers seat worked well (probably too well - very hot!) when I first got the car, now it doesn't appear to work at all. Have checked the fuse, also the passenger seat works, light on at switch. Anything else to check before I assume the element has given up? How easy is it to replace the heating element in a leather seat? ;)

Common one this.. mine is exectly the same - and its easier to change a seat than the element in it - or live without it as I do (passengers are sorted!)

Mine failed too. Had this on my pre-facelft CDX. The seat base got very hot for a minute then nothing. As the seats were cloth I was able to strip down the base and replace the heater pad. The heater pad had an obvious burn mark were the element had shorted out
However, I think the construction of the leather seats is different with the heater pad being sewn into the leather. Much more difficult?

Why am I not suprised that it is going to be a difficult job? Story of my life :(
The concern I have with changing the seat is that it is in good nick and will a replacement be a good colour match?
Most likely will live without it.

Just put a heater element in under the seat base. The heat will take longer to get to your backside ...... but better than nowt. ;)
