Title: Rear shock - bolt size
Post by: ken-omega on 22 February 2011, 16:17:09
Hello people. Someone know the size of the upper and down bolt at the rear shock on omega saloon? I friend has to shock for sale, it looks like shocks for omega, but I am not sure.

Thanks
Ket  :)

Size of bolt won`t tell you if it`s an Omega shocker

I have non VX shocks on my car and the top nut size is not the same as VX as the plastic cap covers do not fit.  But they are Omega shocks so, as the post above says, nut/bolt sizes do not determine fitment....

Just replaced both my rear s/l shocks and springs today so details are very clear in my mind, although please understand that I used genuine VX parts so as said by others sizes may differ.
Bottom shock absorber bolt..21mm and 110 nm
Top mount 16mm nut and 65nm
Diff mounts x 4..15mm and 90nm
Rear drop link 13mm nut and bolt and 20nm

Hope that helps
