Title: ashtray insert

hi all on refitting my ashtray insert the light lense came away from the insert, how is this held in? i found a wire which looks like it could have been a spring! or someone's flattened out a paperclip! any help always appreciated,

sorry put this on at lunchtime anyone have any suggestions the lense slides in sideways to the top of the insert with one lug longer than the other but does anyone know how it's suppose to stay there or does it float? i can't imagine that as everytime i put it in the lense falls out and jams everything up!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't float, I seem to remember a spring
